Yesterday, on the second Sunday of Advent, we at Hinde Street held our annual Toy Donation Service for children in need in Westminster. This year, we received a wide variety of toys, games and gift vouchers for children of all ages – as well as one ‘blood-curdling box of books’! We also received monetary donations in excess of £200, all of which will be put toward additional gifts this week.
We would like to give a heartfelt thank-you to those who were able to donate this year as well as to those who joined us in prayer. As we lit the second candle of this year’s Advent, we reflected on the spirit of kindness and giving that will brighten up yet another Christmas for so many children.
