Pride 2025

Happy Pride to all!

This year, Hinde Street was glad to be supporting Pride in London together with our friends from Wesley’s Chapel & Leysian Mission! The following day, we continued to mark this year’s Pride month at our special Sunday Service with guest preacher David Warren.

Below, you can read a personal message from one of the Ministers at Hinde Street following the weekend’s events and check out some of the colourful photos we took! If you missed it, you can also listen to David’s touching sermon on our podcast channel here (no account required!) or directly on our Worship page.

“Today in the Pride Service, we celebrated Holy Communion together and I thought (not for the first time), how blessed I am to work with this beautiful church community. This image I snapped quickly during the service (see below) illustrates a little of how open and loving and beautiful this church is. The Progress Flag on the Communion table was deliberate as a symbol of open hearts and welcome which has been true for this church for more than 50 years.

The table here is always open to all, and the bread is gluten-free and the wine non-alcoholic, because we want everyone to be able to comfortably belong. The mind-set/heart-set of this church is open and welcoming and genuine.

As a church, there is plenty we get wrong, and of course, we are not perfect (we occasionally ‘drive each other up the wall’!) – however, the heart of this church is beautiful and Jesus-like.”
