Fundraising – a Visit to the Science Museum

One of the FUNdraising activities we are organising as part of the Hinde Street Appeal was a visit to the Science Museum on Saturday March 7th. Starting from 10:30am, attendees were given a quiz sheet with questions on space, medicine, space, and more, as well as hints as to where in the Museum they might find the answers. The clues were designed so that people had to look for and study various objects – these answers could not be found online! People also were encouraged to look at other nearby exhibits in addition to the ones featured in the quiz.

As the afternoon’s activities wrapped up around 2pm, everyone turned in their sheets and reported having discovered new things. All correct answers went into a prize draw, and one lucky person won an electronic drawing pad! Thanks to all those who took part in this fun day for a good cause!

If you missed this outing and would like to take the chance to go on a self-guided quiz tour at the Science Museum, there are some paper quiz sheets left over which people can collect after Sunday Service (you can also print your own from a digital version). If you would like a quiz sheet, just send an email to office@hindestreet.org.uk with the subject line “Science”.

We suggest a donation of £10 per adult (greater or lesser sums gratefully accepted). This is best paid in advance through the Church Bank Account (HSBC sort code 40-04-25, account 51007416) with the reference SCIENCE. There are no prizes but everyone who takes part will receive a certificate if they send in the correct answers.
