Thank you all who attended our annual Toy Service this Sunday, and a special extension of gratitude to those who were able to donate a gift. Thank you also to the carol singers (pictured) who had kind permission of the Marylebone Farmer’s Market management to sing.
London (specifically Westminster) has some of the highest child poverty rates in the country. With your help, the Hinde Street Toy Service collects donations to ensure that these children can receive a gift at Christmas time. We received all donations, whether toys, gift cards, or cash deposits with gratefulness on behalf of these children and their families.
In the evening following the service, a group of us also braved the rain and sang carols for charity at the Marylebone Christmas Market, raising around £68. These donations will be given to ‘All We Can’, a Methodist relief and development charity. We also took the opportunity to share invitations to the candlelit Carol Service next Sunday. We hope to see you all there!
