The joint Circuit service on Sunday July 19 was a thanksgiving to God and a celebration of the ministry of Deacon Tessa Bennett amongst the people of Kings Cross Methodist Church, including the 3 congregations and work with children and young people, work with the International Students, and her partnerships with other organisations such as Churches’ Winter Night Shelter, Women at the Well and Friday drop-in.
Tessa was thanked for sharing her servant-hearted Diaconal ministry and making such a difference to everyone she has met. She has so many gifts – amongst them are compassion, kindness, dedication, perseverance and a gift of listening and presence.
Tributes to Tessa were shared by the Superintendent, Church Stewards, Circuit Stewards, children and young people, and from colleague Deacons from the London Area Group of the Methodist Diaconal Order. Whilst she will be greatly missed, we are grateful for her time here and pray every blessing for her and her husband Kevin as they move to their next appointment.
