Pride 2026 marked another year of a commitment to solidarity and welcome at Hinde Street.
On Saturday July 4th, a group from Hinde Street attended the parade-side at London Pride, celebrating and cheering on with Wesley’s Chapel & Leysian Mission. We remembered that Pride is also a Protest (albeit it beautiful and joyful one) and that to be there is to make a continuing commitment to be in solidarity all year round. Thank you to the team who came and especially to everyone in the Parade who were so wonderful!
At Sunday worship the following dat, we were visited by Rev Peta Evans who delivered a touching and inspiring guest sermon. During the service, we asked also everyone to discuss and write up to six words as this Church’s message for people who are LGBTQIA, particularly remembering people who are transgender, being treated particularly awfully in the UK at this time. You can see what was written in the photos below. We hope you can read them and feel the heartfelt love from this church who we are so very privileged to work with.
