Easter Sunday Service

“Christ is risen. Love has the last word.”

This Easter Sunday we were joined by many new and familiar faces as we celebrated the good news. We heard greetings from Methodist Churches from across England and beyond, and shared hopeful stories from our lives where love had the last word.

Rev Peter Cornick gave a sermon on the theme of letting go of fear and embracing joy. In the face of uncertainty, fear and today’s catastrophic world events, Peter reminded us that resurrection is not only an event, but also an ongoing promise – in death as in life, God is present, and joy is waiting.

Thanks to Deacon Ruth for leading the service and for surprising us with an Easterly treat!

Peace be with you. Hallelujah.
