SerMONS
Hinde Street has a tradition of radical thought. If you look at what we say about ourselves, you’ll see that we enjoy asking questions, and we don’t expect easy answers. We expect sermons to take the Bible seriously, but also to unpack its historical context and wrestle with what it might be saying to us today in a very different society. Our preachers care about what’s going on in the world; about the politics of poverty, peace and justice. And we are in the heart of London, a cosmopolitan city which has a lot to say to the church about how we might learn to welcome and treat all people equally. You can expect all this to feature in our sermons.
A selection of sermons are posted on the website for people who couldn’t get to church, or for those who want to re-read what they heard. We hope these will encourage you, provoke you, challenge you - and most of all cause you to think about God and about life. Please feel free to share them with anyone who might be interested, letting them know where they came from.
