GROUPS
Methodism began with small groups – band meetings where people got together to share their problems, their challenges and their hopes, and encouraged each other in the difficult business of putting their new faith into practice. Early band meetings were much like the many 12-step groups that meet in our premises today. Methodists still believe that getting to know each other in small groups is life-giving.
